Day 8: Kondangeri to Arekadu
Another lovely family let me stay with them last night after my original plan fell through. Aditi was hilarious - backed his English 100% but I did not have a single clue about what he was saying.
Gentle stroll through the woods - want to slow the pace of everything down for the next few days. My mind has been in sensory overload - like a kid again - my brain acting as a sponge absorbing my new surroundings - people, landscape and animals.
Here I was cruising along - filming thinking I was Martin Scorsese - little did I know I was only metres away from my biggest fear. A 'majestic' 6 foot Cobra. There was no Oscar winning performance of bravery. I shat myself. The devil of a thing slithered its way past me as I froze and gave myself 10 in the bin to cool down.
Later on I stumbled across a chilled homestay in the woods - going to have a day of rest tomorrow to go and explore closer around the river.
